Caring for Your Rattan
Rattan furniture is designed for outdoor durability, but it will naturally collect dirt and dust—especially after winter storage or when kept under covers.
To clean your rattan furniture:
- Use a jet wash to rinse off loose dirt and debris
- Gently clean with a sponge and warm soapy water
- Rinse thoroughly and allow to air dry
For a deeper clean, you can also use a specialist rattan cleaning kit designed for outdoor furniture.
Does Rattan Expand and Contract?
Yes—this is completely normal.
Rattan naturally expands in warmer temperatures and contracts as it cools. This flexibility:
- Helps prevent the weave from becoming brittle
- Reduces the risk of cracking or snapping during colder months
This is a key feature of quality rattan furniture and helps maintain its structure over time.
Cushion Care
Cleaning Your Cushions
To keep your cushions fresh and clean:
- Use warm soapy water and a clean cloth for spot cleaning
- Gently wipe down the fabric and remove any dirt or marks
- Allow cushions to air dry completely before use
Important:
- Cushions are not machine washable
- Do not tumble dry
Caring for Tempered Glass
Cleaning Your Glass Surfaces
Outdoor glass can gather dust, dirt, and mildew due to changing weather conditions.
To clean:
- Wipe with a warm soapy cloth to remove dirt
- Use a separate damp cloth to polish the surface
- Allow the glass to air dry for a clear, streak-free finish
For best results, a specialist outdoor glass cleaner can be used to maintain clarity and shine.
General Maintenance Tips
- Clean your furniture regularly to prevent build-up of dirt
- Allow all materials to dry fully after cleaning or rain
- Store or cover furniture during prolonged periods of non-use
- Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive tools that may damage finishes

Glad to see design change which should ensure a longer usable life. Clear glass top replaced with opaque and no rattan underneath to cook in the sunshine

Terrific bistro set and superb quality. Great colour and very sturdy. I like the fact that it has a small table which fits in beautifully between the two chairs.
Ann Dabenett
Excellent product, especially at a reduced price. Already own two chairs that have been kept outside without a cover for last 10 years (covers taken inside) and have weathered all weather conditions and are still looking great. Think I might look after these better! My son lay on one and said ‘there just like the ones on holiday’ - perfect.

Well made and a nice soft brown colour rattan which blends in nicely in the garden. The table is rather on the small side but sturdy enough and suitable for a couple of mugs or glasses. Very pleased with the set as it's the right colour and size for the garden
Mr Brookes
Delivered well packaged. Very comfortable though shorter people may need an extra cushion as the seat is quite deep.

This set is gorgeous & easy to put together. The chairs & cushions are very comfortable and the chairs are very sturdy. Table was easy to put together (about 15 mins) just needed extra pair of hands to lift the glass top into place. Table size easily accommodates 4 people without crowding. Looks stunning in my garden.

It's all tucked away in the garden house (as it is late autumn here), but it is set up and looks and feels very comfortable.
