Caring For Your Rope Weave
Rope weave furniture is designed to be durable and weather-resistant, but regular cleaning will help maintain its appearance.
To clean your rope weave:
- Use a sponge and warm soapy water
- Gently wipe away any dust, dirt, or debris
- Rinse if necessary and allow to air dry
Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive tools, as these may damage the rope material.
Cushion Care
Cleaning Your Outdoor Cushions
To keep your cushions clean and fresh:
- Use warm soapy water and a clean cloth for hand washing
- Gently wipe down the fabric to remove dirt and marks
- Allow cushions to air dry completely before use
Important:
- Cushions are not machine washable
- Do not tumble dry
- We recommend storing cushions indoors or in a dry storage space when not in use to prolong their lifespan
Cleaning Your Aluminium Frames
During winter months or periods of storage, aluminium frames may collect dust and dirt.
To clean:
- Use warm soapy water and a sponge
- Wipe down all surfaces to remove dirt
- Allow frames to air dry (typically within an hour)
General Maintenance Tips
- Clean your furniture regularly to prevent build-up of dirt
- Store cushions when not in use to protect them from the elements
- Ensure all components are fully dry before covering or storing
- Avoid abrasive cleaners or tools that could damage finishes
Understand the Nature of Wood
Our wooden furniture, including the Bali, Martinique, and Porto collections, features a light PU coating for added protection. However, wood is a natural material and may develop cracks and splits over time as it expands and contracts. By purchasing this, you are acknowledging and accepting that splitting and cracking are natural characteristics of wood and are not covered under the warranty. These natural occurrences do not affect the structural integrity or durability of the furniture.
Regular Cleaning
Keep your wooden furniture clean by wiping it regularly with a damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. For deeper cleaning or added protection, you may use a suitable wood-care product designed for outdoor wooden furniture.
Seasonal Maintenance
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your furniture, treat the wood twice a year using proper wood oils suitable for outdoor wooden furniture. In some cases, you may need to lightly sand the surface before applying the oil to ensure even absorption and the best finish.
Avoid Using Covers
We do not recommend using covers on our wooden furniture. Covers can trap moisture, leading to mould, warping, and other damage. Using covers will void the warranty, and any damage caused as a result will not be covered. Regular cleaning and proper seasonal maintenance, as outlined above, are the best ways to preserve your furniture.
Natural Colour Changes
Untreated or naturally finished wood may experience colour changes over time due to exposure to sunlight and varying weather conditions. This natural ageing process adds character and uniqueness to the furniture. With the correct care, including appropriate seasonal oiling, these changes can be minimised.
Standard Delivery
Please allow our courier partners 10 working days to deliver your item(s) to your delivery address. After your order has been dispatched, you will then receive further communication from Maze Living or our courier partners providing you with further details of your delivery. 'Standard delivery', on orders containing small accessories only, will be delivered by DX or a similar courier. Orders including large items will be delivered by a 2-man team who will carry your items to a place of your choice, outside, if accessible.
Pallet Delivery
If it is available and you change the delivery to a 'Pallet Delivery', your order can be delivered in as little as 2-3 working days (cut off for 2 days is 11am every weekday). Pallet deliveries differ in that your order will be left kerbside on pallets outside your address and does not include any optional extra services or pallet disposal. By selecting this option, you agree to this, and that a large lorry can access the road outside your property. You may need a minimum of 2 people to move large/heavy items.
However.... stock can run out fast at times so keep an eye out for the 'Going Fast' badge. This is genuine and means we really are running out of stock.
