For strength and durability, the Ember kitchen collection is constructed using a sturdy steel structure, which is then coated in aluminium to ensure longevity in the great UK outdoors. This robust construction is finished with a powder-coated surface, delivering a refined, modern appearance while providing reliable protection for all-year outdoor use. The cabinetry is completed with discreet matte black handles, adding a subtle, contemporary detail that complements the minimalist design of the Ember range.
The unit is topped with a luxury sintered stone worktop, chosen for its durability, low maintenance and resistance to outdoor conditions. How To Care For Your Maze Outdoor Kitchen
Our outdoor kitchens are designed for outdoor living and made using durable, weather-resistant materials. With regular care and maintenance, your kitchen will continue to look its best and provide years of enjoyment.
As with all outdoor furniture and equipment, regular cleaning is important to prevent dirt, grease and debris from building up.
Cleaning Your Outdoor Kitchen
For general cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water and a mild soap solution.
We recommend regularly cleaning:
- Kitchen cabinets and doors
- Worktops
- Handles and hardware
- Shelves and storage areas
- BBQ surfaces and components
- Any areas where food, grease or debris may collect
Once cleaned, rinse with clean water and dry with a soft cloth where possible.
Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, wire brushes or scouring pads on the kitchen surfaces, as these may damage the finish.
Do not use pressure washers directly on the kitchen units, BBQ or electrical components.
Kitchen Cabinets
The cabinetry is designed to withstand normal outdoor conditions and requires minimal maintenance.
To keep the cabinets looking their best:
- Clean regularly with warm soapy water.
- Remove spills and food residue promptly.
- Do not allow grease or dirt to build up.
- Dry the surfaces after cleaning where possible.
- Avoid dragging or placing sharp objects directly against the cabinet finish.
Over time, exposure to sunlight and the elements may naturally cause some change in appearance.
Worktops
Your worktop should be cleaned regularly using warm water, a mild soap solution and a soft cloth.
For spills, particularly from food, drinks, oil or grease, clean the affected area as soon as possible.
Do not use abrasive cleaning products, scouring pads or harsh chemicals, as these may mark or damage the surface.
Avoid placing extremely hot cookware directly onto the worktop. We recommend using suitable trivets or heat-resistant mats.
Do not cut directly onto the worktop.
BBQ Care
Regular cleaning of your BBQ is essential to maintain its appearance and performance.
After cooking:
- Allow the BBQ to cool completely before cleaning.
- Remove food residue and excess grease.
- Empty and clean the grease collection tray regularly.
- Wipe down the external surfaces with a soft cloth and mild soap solution.
- Ensure the BBQ is completely dry after cleaning.
Grease should not be allowed to accumulate, as this can affect the performance of the BBQ and increase the risk of flare-ups.
Gas BBQs
If your outdoor kitchen includes a gas BBQ:
- Check the gas hose and connections regularly for visible signs of damage.
- Ensure connections remain secure.
- Keep gas components clean and free from grease and debris.
- Always turn the gas supply off when the BBQ is not in use.
- Never store or use a gas bottle in a way that is contrary to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Do not modify the gas system or attempt to repair gas components yourself.
If you smell gas or suspect a leak, turn off the gas supply immediately, do not operate electrical switches or naked flames, and follow the safety instructions supplied with your BBQ.
Any gas repairs or alterations should be carried out by a suitably qualified professional.
Electrical Components
Where your outdoor kitchen includes electrical appliances, lighting, fridges or other electrical components:
- Keep electrical connections clean and dry.
- Do not use abrasive products around electrical fittings.
- Do not modify or attempt to repair electrical components yourself.
- Check cables and connections regularly for visible damage.
If an electrical component stops working or appears damaged, stop using it and contact Maze Living or a suitably qualified professional for advice.
Fridges & Appliances
Outdoor kitchen appliances should be maintained in accordance with the individual manufacturer's instructions.
For outdoor fridges:
- Keep the ventilation areas clear.
- Do not block air vents.
- Clean spills promptly.
- Regularly clean the inside of the fridge.
- Ensure the door seal remains clean and free from debris.
Do not use appliances for purposes other than those for which they were designed.
Sintered Stone & Other Worktop Materials
Some Maze outdoor kitchens feature sintered stone or other specialist worktop materials.
Although these materials are highly durable, care should still be taken to prevent damage.
We recommend:
- Cleaning spills promptly.
- Using chopping boards when preparing food.
- Using trivets beneath hot cookware.
- Avoiding impacts from heavy or sharp objects.
- Cleaning with a soft cloth and mild soap solution.
Do not use abrasive products unless specifically recommended by the worktop manufacturer.
Weather & Outdoor Conditions
Our outdoor kitchens are designed for outdoor use, but they remain exposed to changing weather conditions.
During periods of severe weather:
- Keep kitchen doors closed when the kitchen is not in use.
- Do not leave food or other items exposed to the elements.
- Check the kitchen after periods of particularly strong winds or severe weather.
Outdoor kitchens should not be considered completely weatherproof or watertight structures.
Water ingress can occur during periods of heavy or wind-driven rain, particularly around doors, joints and appliance openings.
Winter Care
Your Maze outdoor kitchen can remain outdoors throughout the year.
Before winter, we recommend:
- Thoroughly cleaning the kitchen.
- Cleaning the BBQ and removing grease build-up.
- Emptying and cleaning grease trays.
- Cleaning the inside of cabinets.
- Checking doors, hinges and handles.
- Checking worktops for any damage.
- Checking gas hoses and connections for visible signs of wear.
- Checking electrical components and cables.
- Ensuring drainage and ventilation areas remain clear.
Where an appliance manufacturer recommends seasonal removal, protection or storage, their instructions should always be followed.
Standard Delivery
Please allow our courier partners 10 working days to deliver your item(s) to your delivery address. After your order has been dispatched, you will then receive further communication from Maze Living or our courier partners providing you with further details of your delivery. 'Standard delivery', on orders containing small accessories only, will be delivered by DX or a similar courier. Orders including large items will be delivered by a 2-man team who will carry your items to a place of your choice, outside, if accessible.
Pallet Delivery
If it is available and you change the delivery to a 'Pallet Delivery', your order can be delivered in as little as 2-3 working days (cut off for 2 days is 11am every weekday). Pallet deliveries differ in that your order will be left kerbside on pallets outside your address and does not include any optional extra services or pallet disposal. By selecting this option, you agree to this, and that a large lorry can access the road outside your property. You may need a minimum of 2 people to move large/heavy items.
However.... stock can run out fast at times so keep an eye out for the 'Going Fast' badge. This is genuine and means we really are running out of stock.
